PITTSBURGH – Luke McKenna set a school record in the men's 3000m (8:51.04) to headline Point Park's performance over the weekend at the CMU Invitational in downtown Pittsburgh.
 
Between the CMU Invitational and West Liberty's Tim Weaver Invitational, the Pioneers recorded 15 top-10 performances on Saturday. The performances included fourth place finishes in the 400m hurdles (Jannik Windelband), long jump (Maxwell Goode), 110m hurdles (Kamar Sutherland), and 300m (McKenna). The Pioneers also took fourth in the 4x100 relay and fifth in the 4x400 relay.
 
Additionally, Akeem Mustapha finished sixth in the high jump and 10^th in the 100m, while Ben Blahovec finished seventh in the javelin. Blahovec's mark of 52.38m in the javelin ranks fourth in school history.

Point Park will return to action next Friday and Saturday with events at George Mason and Slippery Rock.
