CLERMONT, Fla. – The Point Park softball team is gearing up to head down south to Florida to play in eight games at The Spring Games from March 7 through March 11 at Legends Way Ball Fields in Clermont.
Point Park will begin The Spring Games with two games on Friday against the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and Lynn University (Fla.) with games times scheduled for 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The Spring Games is a collegiate softball event that hosts hundreds of games each year. It's the largest collegiate softball event in the world.

Point Park Softball Notebook
- Point Park opened up the 2025 season with a 0-2 start falling to Seton Hill last Friday at the SHU Softball Complex. The Pioneers fell 6-1 in game one then lost game two 9-8 on a Griffin's walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh.
- Gianna Welsh had a big start to the season for the Pioneers picking up four hits in two games. Welsh is currently hitting .667 to begin the season. She had two doubles and knocked in three RBIs for the Pioneers in the doubleheader.
- Outfielder Remington Koi opened up the 2025 campaign hitting .400 against Seton Hill. Koi picked up two RBIs on two hits, including a double. Koi also had a sacrifice fly for the Pioneers.
- In the circle Jaylyn Mullenax (0-1) started game one for the Pioneers giving up 10 hits in 6.0 innings of work. Mullenax has a 7.0 ERA to start the season giving up 6 runs against the Griffins.
- Savannah Lee (0-1) pitched a complete game two for Point Park in the 9-8 loss. In 7.0 innings of work Lee gave up 12 hits and nine earned runs. Lee currently sits at a 10.50 ERA to begin the season.
- As a team the Pioneers are hitting .273 as a team and have picked up 15 hits through their first two contests. Point Park had four doubles and nine RBIs in the doubleheader against the Griffins.
