PITTSBURGH – Point Park wrapped up competition at George Mason University and Slippery Rock University on Saturday evening, turning in six Top 10 finishes to cap the weekend at the two events.
At the Dalton Ebanks Invitational hosted by GMU, Akeem Mustapha turned in a mark of 12.84m to finish sixth in the triple jump. Additionally, Jannik Windelband turned in the second-fastest time in school history with a 3:56.07 in the 1500m.
At the Dave Labor Invitational at SRU, Collins Eze led the Pioneers with a runner-up finish in the triple jump, finishing with a mark of 13.98m. Luke McKenna also finished third in the 5000m for the Pioneers, turning in a time of 15:35.08.
Additional standout performances from Slippery Rock included Chevaughn Fletcher's sixth-place finish in the javelin (52.26m), Albin Petschauer's eighth-place finish in the 3000m Steeple (10:17.30), and Michael Quigley's eighth-place finish in the triple jump (12.97m).
