Women's Track & Field Wraps Up Weekend at George Mason and Slippery Rock

PITTSBURGH – A trio of Top 10 finishes paced Point Park at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational (George Mason) and Dave Labor Invitational (Slippery Rock) on Saturday.
 
Jana Schmid and Casey Colcombe turned in the top individual finishes for the Pioneers. Schmid finished seventh in the 800m with a time of 2:18.78. The finish ranks fourth in school history.
 
Colcombe also finished seventh with a time of 1:06.62 in the 400m hurdles. She now ranks second in PPU history in the event. Colcombe also turned in the fifth-fastest time in school history in the 100m hurdles on Saturday, taking 12th in the event with a time of 16.09.
 
Sterre Kuijper rounded out the top 10 finishes for the Pioneers, finishing eighth in the 10,000m with a time of 40:59.84. Makayla Rice also took 11th in the long jump at 4.93m.

  • 800m – 7th – Jana Schmid (2:18.78) – 4th in school history
  • 10,000m – 8th – Sterre Kuijper (40:59.84)
  • 100m Hurdles – 12th – Casey Colcombe (16.09) – 5th in school history
  • 400m Hurdles – 7th – Casey Colcombe (1:06.62) – 2nd in school history
  • 3000m Steeple – 14th – Corinne Lee-Hauser (13:13.76)
  • Long Jump – 11th – Makayla Rice (4.93m)
  • Javelin – 14th – Lina Single (32.62m)
