PITTSBURGH – Three Point Park University men's cross country and track & field student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday afternoon, the association's awards committee announced via a national release.
The Point Park honorees included
Ben Blahovec (Electrical Engineering),
Jannik Windelband (Electrical Engineering) and
Nick Zaller (Sports Media).
Members of the CSC All-District Team must have a 3.50 grade-point average and rank in the regional Top 50 in at least one individual track & field event during the 2024-25 season. Cross country honorees must turn in a Top 50 individual performance at a NCAA regional championship meet. Honorees must be a sophomore both academically and athletically.
Windelband, a senior from Germany, advanced to All-American ballot and will be considered for additional honors during voting over the next couple weeks. Windelband finished runner-up in the 3000m steeplechase earlier this spring at the MEC Championship and garnered USTFCCCA All-Region recognition in the steeplechase event.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's Cross Country and Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's track & field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 15, 2025 (women) and July 16, 2025 (men).
