Point Park Begins Three-Game Week at Davis & Elkins

PITTSBURGH – Point Park men's basketball will begin a three-game week with a roadtrip to Davis & Elkins on Monday evening. The Mountain East Conference matchup is slated for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
 
The Pioneers enter the game with a record of 5-12 overall, including a mark of 3-9 in league play. Point Park has picked up back-to-back wins over Salem (101-89) and West Virginia Wesleyan (83-67).
 
Point Park and Davis & Elkins will meet for the second time on Monday, with the Senators winning back on Dec. 13 in Pittsburgh (84-57). In the first matchup, D&E's Vegas Evans led all scorers with 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Kaden Warner led Point Park with 16 points and six assists.
 
In their Dec. 13 win, Davis & Elkins shot 60 percent from the floor and 47.1 percent from three.

Davis & Elkins has lost four its last five games and enters Monday night with a record of 7-12 (4-7 MEC).
 
Storylines
  • Aidan Anderson has recorded back-to-back 30-point scoring performances in wins over Salem and West Virginia Wesleyan. Anderson scored 30 points to go with 11 rebounds last Saturday against Salem, before following up that performance with 33 points and 10 rebounds against West Virginia Wesleyan.
  • For the season, Anderson is averaging 18.3 points and 5.3 rebounds. He is shooting 52 percent from the floor and 51 percent from three.
  • Grant Welch is second on the team in scoring, averaging 13.2 points and 3.6 rebounds. Welch has a team-high 57 three-pointers on the season.
  • Warner is third on the team in scoring at 13.0 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Warner is also second on the team in assists (55) and made 3-pointers (42).
  • Warner is first on the team with 20 steals.
  • Greg Williams is Point Park's fourth player averaging double-figures, chipping in 11.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Williams is third on the team with 31 three-pointers this season.
  • Jaylen Stewart is first on the team in assists with 66 on the year. Stewart is also chipping in 8.1 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.
  • Point Park ranks third in the MEC in 3-point field goal percentage (.379) and second in made 3-point field goals (11.0 per game). The Pioneers are also second in the league in free throw percentage (.767).
