PITTSBURGH -- Point Park women's lacrosse earned its first ever win on Saturday, demolishing Ursuline 21-2 at Highmark Stadium.

Point Park (1-0, 0-0 MEC) opened off its inaugural season on Saturday, and was led by sophomore Tessa Hueber, one of four non-freshmen on the team. Hueber led the team in goals and assists, posting four of each for a game-high 8 points. She also led the team with six shots and her four shots on goal tied for the team's best.

Hueber was one of five Pioneers to score a hat trick, with Andrea Kinger, Emma Diaz, Kiley Leasure, and Gracie Favela each scoring three goals in the game. Kinger added three assists, and Dias, Leisure and Alayna Zell all tallied two assists respectively.

Diaz, Leasue, Favela and Alexandra Hrkach all ended the night with five shots, tying for second-most on the team. Diaz, Leisure, Favela and Kinger all tied with Hueber for the team-leading four shots on goal.

Point Park scored on 47.7% of its shots on Saturday night. 35 of the Pioneers' 44 shots were on goal. PPU tallied 17 assists on its 22 goals.

Point Park was dominant defensively, limiting Ursuline (1-1) to only four shots on the evening. Ursuline only managed six clears on 24 tries, a clear percentage of 24%. Ursuline turned the ball over 33 times to only 17 turnovers from the Pioneers. Point Park caused 18 of Ursuline's turnovers.Â
