TIFFIN, Ohio -- Point Park women's lacrosse fell to Tiffin on Saturday 15-10 at Hoernemann Stadium. The Pioneers dropped to 2-3 in their inaugural season with the defeat.
Point Park featured eight different goalscorers on Saturday with Alexandra Hrkach and Gracie Favela each scoring two goals to tie for the team lead. Hrkach was one of four Pioneers to tally an assist, and her 3 points led the team.
Andrea Kinger, Taylor Desko, Kiley Leasure, Emma Diaz, Tessa Hueber and Imani Horn all dented the twine for Point Park. Kinger, Desko and Ava Miller all added assists.
Tiffin (3-4) got off to a strong start early scoring five and six goals in the first two quarters to take an 11-3 lead into the break. After the Dragons opened the third quarter with a goal, Point Park scored five unanswered goals to make it a 12-8 contest.
Leasure scored with 9:45 left to play in the third. Kinger, Favela, Desko and Hrkach all scored over a 3:18 stretch in the second half of the quarter.
Tiffin added two power-play goals to open the fourth quarter and held onto the lead to secure the victory.
Elena Sinar played the second half for the Pioneers and boasted five saves to only four goals allowed.
Lauren Walsh and Isabelle Vranjes each scored hat tricks on Saturday for Tiffin, tying for the game's lead in goals. Walsh's six assists and 9 points led the game.

The Pioneers are back in action on Wednesday against Westminster (PA) to close out non-conference play. Opening draw is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. from New Wilmington, Pa.
