PITTSBURGH -- Point Park women's lacrosse fell to Edinboro on Thursday night in a 14-10 decision. The Pioneers dropped to 2-2 on the season with the loss.

Point Park was led by Andrea Kinger and Kiley Leasure, who both scored hat tricks. Both Kinger and Leasure scored six goals in the Pioneers' previous game last Saturday. Kinger, the reigning MEC Offensive Player of the Week, led the Pioneers with 4 points. Leasure recorded 11 shots, nine of which were on goal, both good for team highs.

Emma Diaz scored a brace and both Alexandra Hrkach and Gracie Favela dented the twine for Point Park. Hrkach and Favela both added assists on Thursday night.

Trailing 8-3 with 8:53 to play in the third quarter, Point Park rattled off three straight goals to cut the deficit to 8-6. Diaz, Kinger and Leasure provided the tallies. However, the Fighting Scots quickly responded, scoring within 90 seconds of the Pioneers three times in the second half. Edinboro (1-1) would hold onto the lead.

Natalia Farr scored six goals for Edinboro on Thursday. Farr tied with Leasure for the game high with 11 shots, and her 10 shots on goal led the game. Jacqui Detelich and Ziola Giaramita both posted two goals and two assists.

Point Park closes out a three-game homestand on Saturday against Bethany. Opening draw is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Highmark Stadium.
