TIFFIN, Ohio -- Point Park men's lacrosse picked up its first road win of its inaugural season on Saturday with a 12-10 win over Tiffin in G-MAC play. The Pioneers moved to 2-8 (2-5 G-MAC) with the win.

The Pioneers started the day with a six-goal first quarter, including two different 3-0 runs. Parker Bowersox scored twice in the quarter with Braydan Stearns, Alec Batchelor, Sawyer Leko and Ian George all providing tallies. Point Park scored three of its six goals in the first within the last 3:36 with Leko, Bowersox and George all denting the twine.

Bowersox's three goals led the team, and Sawyer Leko set team highs in assists (three) and points (5). Tigran Ceesay, Batchelor, Stearns and Leko all tied with two goals - good for second most on the team. Batchelor added two assists. Bowersox also led the team in shots (11) and shots on goal (seven).

Tiffin scored four consecutive goals over a 3:55 stretch from 10 seconds left in the first half to 12:15 remaining in the third quarter, to make it a 7-6 game in the Pioneers' favor. Stearns scored for Point Park, but two more goals from the Dragons forced an 8-8 tie.Â

The Pioneers outscored the Dragons 4-3 over the last 20:10 of the game, with Leko and Batchelor going goal-for-goal with Tiffin. The Dragons tied the game with 10:11 left to play, but Tigran Ceesay scored twice within the last six minutes to give Point Park the winning edge.Â

Goalkeeper Mario Lorenson made 14 saves on Saturday. Lorenson has reached double digits in saves in four of his last six games. His .583 save percentage was the second-best percentage he has posted this season.Â

Point Park will visit Davis & Elkins on Wednesday for the team's final road game of the season. The Pioneers will close out the inaugural campaign with games at Highmark Stadium against Thomas More on Apr. 17 and Lake Erie on Apr. 21.Â
