PITTSBURGH -- Point Park men's lacrosse opens its final homestand of its inaugural season against Thomas More on Friday in a matchup with significant playoff implications. Opening faceoff is slated for 5 p.m. at Highmark Stadium.

PLAYOFF PICTURE
Point Park and Thomas More are currently tied for sixth place in the G-MAC standings. The top six teams qualify for the G-MAC Tournament. The Pioneers and Saints are both 1.5 games back of Wheeling (5-4) and one game ahead of Tiffin (2-6) and Lake Erie (2-6). The Pioneers will host Lake Erie on Tuesday, Apr. 21 in their regular-season finale.Â

Point Park (3-8, 3-5 G-MAC) enters as a winner of two straight after picking up road wins against Tiffin and Davis & Elkins. Sawyer Leko recorded five goals and two assists in Wednesday's win over the Senators, and Grant Huber added four goals of his own. Parker Bowersox scored a hat trick, and Braydan Stearns scored a brace.Â

Thomas More (5-8, 3-5 G-MAC) dropped its last matchup 20-8 to Walsh. The Saints have lost three of their last four games and are 3-2 on the road this season. Â
