SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Point Park track & field competed at Slippery Rock University's Dave Labor Invitational on Friday. The Pioneers recorded six top-five finishes in program history on the meet's opening day.

Jenna Manson and Katie Dolinski both recorded finishes in Point Park's top five in the hammer throw on Friday. Manson moved from third to second in program history with her toss of 40.17 meters. Manson finished in 11th place.

Dolinski secured the fifth spot in Point Park's leaderboard with her mark of 35.23 meters. Dolinski took 23rd place in the meet.
Dunya Van den Tooren took fourth in the triple jump, achieving a mark of 11.46 meters, good for third best in Pioneer history.
Akeem Mustapha took second place in the triple jump on Friday. Mustapha's mark of 14.20 meters moves him into fifth place in program history.

Lotte Zethof moved into fifth place in PPU history in the 1,500m with her time of 4:49.56. Zethof finished in seventh place in the event.Â

Elijah Bechdel re-upped his fourth-best time in the 1,500m in program history on Friday. Bechdel posted a time of 3:58.57 en route to a fifth-place finish.Â

NOTABLE FINISHES
Zabine Von Westernhagen finished first place in the 5,000m. Von Westernhagen posted a time of 18:50.51.Â

Point Park saw success in the triple jump with Khady Ndiaye taking third place with her mark of 11.71 meters. Ndiaye came 0.01 meters shy of tying her program record.

Aike Van der Lei took ninth place in the 1,500m on Friday. Van der Lei posted a time of 4:02.56.Â

Point Park took two top-10 finishes in the 3,000m steeplechase. Jordan Kullen took eighth place with his time of 10:55.86, and Gabe Ebersole secured ninth place with his 11:04.52 finish.Â

UP NEXT
Point Park will close out the Dave Labor Invitational on Saturday. Both the men's and women's 10,000m races were postponed from Friday to Saturday due to lightning. The women will run at 8:15 a.m., and the men will compete at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday.Â
