SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Akeem Mustapha and Kamar Sutherland set NCAA Provisional Marks on Saturday, while Mustapha and Jonah Schneider broke school records on Day 2 of the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock University.
 
Mustapha shattered the school record in the long jump at 7.89 meters, a mark that currently ranks first in NCAA Division II and top five for all NCAA divisions this season as of Saturday night. The previous school record in the event was 7.39 meters held by Daimere Stephens-Stewart since May 6, 2023 (WVU Last Chance Meet). Mustapha also tied his PR in the high jump at 1.95 meters, a mark good enough for sixth-place on Saturday.
 
Kamar Sutherland, the currently school record holder in the 110 meter hurdles at 14.23 – finished just shy of that time on Saturday with an NCAA Provisional of 14.28.
 
Mustapha also impressed in the 110 meter hurdles event with the third-fastest time in school history (15.05) as he finished 12^th in the race.
 
In the discus, Jonah Schneider turned in a new school record mark of 42.82 meters, besting teammate Chevaughn Fletcher's previous mark of 42.78 meters.
 
Maxwell Eaton turned in the second-best time in school history in 200 meter at 21.67, while Chase Bowen finished third in the 800 meter race (1:54.54) on Saturday. Eaton turned in a top 10 finish in the 200 meter at SRU.
