WHEELING, W.Va. -- Point Park volleyball is set to compete in the Wheeling Volleyball Quad over the weekend, taking on Ursuline on Friday at noon and the University of Indianapolis on Saturday at 2 p.m. Both matches will be in the Alma Grace McDonough Center.

LAST TIME OUT

Point Park (0-3, 0-0 MEC) dropped its three opening matches last weekend in the Storm Volleyball Classic, falling in three sets to Slippery Rock, Seton Hill, Lake Erie on Friday and Saturday.

Four Pioneers recorded double-digit kills over the weekend with Viktoria Zelubowski, Patricia Calero-Irizarry and Carson Burgh all tallying 14 and Nicole Reasbeck adding 13. Reasbeck and Calero-Irizarry both totalled 17.5 points with Zelubowski adding 17.0, Burgh totaling 15.0 and Sara Faith finishing the tournament with 10.

Mia Arndt's 21 kills and .964 reception percentage (minimum 15 digs) both led the squad.

ALL-TOURNAMENT BEDNARSKI

Junior Brooke Bednarski was named to the Storm Volleyball Classic All-Tournament team after her efforts over the weekend. Bednarski, a setter from Portage, Pa., led the Pioneers with 36 assists and four aces.

She also tallied 11 digs, good for second on the team, at a reception rate of 1.000. Bednarski tied for third on the team with 2.0 blocks.

SCOUTING THE ARROWS

Ursuline enters the Wheeling Quad seeking its first win of the season. The Arrows currently sit at 0-4 and have only won a single set against St. Mary's University last Friday. 

UC features three players with 20+ kills in Skye Peairson (27), Ellie Zoeckler (24) and Kimora Hansbrough (20). Zoeckler's 29.5 points lead the team and are followed by Peairson's 27.0 and Hansbrough's 24.5.

Sophia Serrano has already reached the 50-assist mark on the season, and Mya Jackson's 53 digs lead the team. Zoeckler is second on the team in digs with 30. Madison Morris boasts a team-leading 11.0 blocks.

SCOUTING THE HOUNDS

Indianapolis has yet to lose a match in the 2026 season, boasting a 4-0 record entering the Wheeling Quad. The Hounds have lost only one set, which came in the team's opening match against Walsh. UIndy has beaten West Liberty, Saginaw Valley and Thomas More.

Junior OH Maddie Lynch leads the Hounds with her 41 kills and ranks fourth on the team with 6.0 blocks. Lynch was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week on Monday after her efforts over the team's first four matches. 

Lynch averaged 3.73 kills and 4.0 points per set over the four matches. She recorded a hitting percentage of .388. Her best performance came against Saginaw Valley in which she recorded 14 kills and five digs on a .545 hitting percentage.
