GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Point Park University will be competing at the NAIA Competitive Dance Northeast Regional Qualifier on Friday, March 15 from Aquinas (Mich.) University in Grand Rapids, Mich.
The 10-team event is a regional qualifier for the NAIA Competitive Dance National Championships to be held March 29-30 in Ypsilanti, Mich. Regional champions and select at-large bids move on to the national meet.
The NAIA Northeast Regional begins at 11:00 am ET on Friday. A random draw set the competition order of the teams from 1-10 in the preliminary round. Point Park will be sixth to go at approximately 11:50 am ET.
A final round will come next starting at 1:50 p.m. with a reverse order of teams based on first-round scores with the highest seed going last.

Point Park has a successful history at NAIA Competitive Dance Regional qualifiers. In the last six years, the Pioneers have one regional championship (2020) and four regional runner-up performances (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022). The Pioneers were third in the region last year.
The Pioneers are looking for their fifth NAIA National Championship bid and the fifth one in the last seven years.
