Pioneers Head to New Jersey for Non-Conference Matchup with Felician

PITTSBURGH- The Point Park men's soccer team is on the road to Rutherford, New Jersey to take on Felician in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday. Kick-off is scheduled for noon.

Storylines
  • A goal in the 57th minute goal by Edouard Gagnon gave the Pioneers a win against Wheeling on Sunday to advance to 6-6-1 overall and 6-4-1 in conference play.  Point Park is 4-1 at home and 2-5-1 on the road.
  • In MEC men's soccer standings, Point Park is currently in third behind Concord and Charleston. The Pioneers have 19 points while Charleston (23) and Concord (24) lead the league.
  • The Pioneers have forced 18 goals and allowed 24 through 13 games. Point Park is averaging 1.385 goals per game while opponents are averaging 1.85. Fridolin Gefrorer remains in the top 10 for goals scored with a team-leading four goals. Gefrorer is also tenth in the league for points with nine.
  • Felician currently stands at 5-4-3 overall on the season and is 3-3-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. At home the Golden Falcons are 3-3-1 and most recently picked up a 4-2 win over CACC opponent Georgian Court.
  • Against Wheeling, goalkeeper Gregorio Capponi recorded two saves in 90 minutes of action. Capponi is currently ranked third in the MEC with a .765 save percentage and 65 saves on the season.
