GREENSBURG, Pa. - Point Park baseball is back in the win column following a 10-6 victory over No. 12 Seton Hill on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference play. With the win, Point Park improved to 20-8 overall and now has a 9-2 road record.

The game started with a scoreless first inning from both sides. In the second,
Isaac Santana hit a leadoff home run to make it 1-0. Santana has now homered in three straight games, and his fourth home run ties him with
Edward Mateo for the third-most on the team.

The bats continued to do damage in the third inning, starting with another leadoff home run as
Luis Gonzalez (his fourth of the season). The blast marked his 14th extra-base hit of the year, the second-most on the team.

Edward Mateo and
Omar Morillo followed with back-to-back singles, putting two runners on.
Chris Williams then doubled, driving in Mateo to extend the lead to 3-0. Next,
Jared Campbell was hit by a pitch to load the bases.

With the bases loaded, Santana hit a single to left field, driving in his second run of the game. During the next at-bat,
Crixtian Taveras reached on a fielder's choice and brough home
Chris Williams for a 5-0 Pioneer lead.

Taveras then got active on the base paths, stealing second, which led to a throwing error, advancing him to third and allowing
Jared Campbell to score, making it 6-0.

With Taveras on third, he was driven in by a single from
Trevor Jones, who is on a season-high six-game hitting streak after today.

With two outs, runners were on the corners after
Luis Gonzalez's second hit of the game, the lineup flipped back to Mateo for his second at-bat of the inning. His RBI single to center field made it 8-0 after three innings.

Through five innings, junior
Brandon Clifford, had made his best start of the season. He allowed three hits, no runs, and recorded one strikeout.

As
Samuel Georgiana came out to begin the sixth inning, Seton Hill scored six unanswered runs, making it 8-6 going into the eighth inning.

In the eighth, the bullpen would get some extra run support from the offense with two outs as the Pioneers rallied. Taveras hit a single to right field, and one of the hottest hitters on Point Park,
Trevor Jones, followed with his fifth double of the season, driving in Taveras for a 9-6 advantage.

With Jones on second, Gonzalez picked up his fourth hit of the game (a single-game season high), driving in Jones and making it 10-6.

Harold Boyce was called upon to close out the game in the eighth and ninth innings with a four-run lead. He delivered with two scoreless innings and three strikeouts to seal the victory. Dating back to his last performance, Boyce has thrown nine straight scoreless innings and holds the team's best ERA at 2.96.

This marks the ninth time this season that Point Park has scored double-digit runs in a game and they have won all nine of those contests.

Point Park will hit the road this weekend for a four-game series against Fairmont State. Action gets underway on Saturday in Morgantown, West Virginia.
