PITTSBURGH—The Point Park softball team is gearing up for another pair of MEC doubleheaders at Fairhaven Park over the weekend. Point Park will first host Concord on Friday afternoon starting at 1:00 p.m. then the Pioneers will host Glenville State on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

Friday's game against Concord University will be community night. The Pioneers will honor Kennedy Township Girls Softball during lineups! On Saturday, Point Park will honor their six seniors on senior night at 12:30 p.m. before game one.
Point Park Softball Season Notebook
- Point Park enters the weekend at 13-23 overall and 7-13 in Mountain East play after dropping two games to North Division leader Fairmont State on Wednesday afternoon.
- Point Park fell in game one to the Fighting Falcons 5-1 before dropping game two 10-1. Against Fairmont State the Pioneers batted .180 in the doubleheader picking up nine hits in 50 at bats. Mia Arndt led Point Park with two hits on the day.
- Point Park is hitting .235 collectively on the season which is ranked 11th in the Mountain East Conference. The Pioneers have 220 hits on the season and an on base percentage of .302.
- Arndt and Emma Henry are both hitting over .300 for the Pioneers with the pair combining for 70 hits, 18 of those being extra base hits.
- The Pioneer's pitching staff is ranked 6th in the MEC with Point Park having a team ERA of 4.19 and a WHIP of 1.60. The Pioneers have thrown 20 complete games with two shutouts. Point Park has 162 strikeouts on the season.
