PITTSBURGH – The Point Park volleyball team looks to begin their Mountain East Conference schedule this Friday as the Pioneers travel to Elkins, West Virginia to face off with the Davis & Elkins Senators. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the McDonnell Center.
 
Storylines

• The Pioneers come into the matchup 1-9 overall following a 3-0 loss to Seton Hill on Tuesday night. On the road Point Park is now 0-3 to begin the year.
• Point Park and Davis & Elkins last met last year on September 26 as the Senators traveled to Pittsburgh. In the matchup the Pioneers swept the Senators 3-0. Point Park has won the last five matchups against Davis & Elkins, with the Senators losing three of those at home.
• Against Seton Hill on Tuesday night, the Pioneers saw some offensive struggles as Point Park hit -.025 in the matchup while Seton Hill hit .360. Avery Budrys Rini led the offensive attack for the Pioneers recording five kills while Alex Koontz and Nicole Reasbeck each had four.
• Marianna Oyola-Rivera continues her strong season in the setter position. The transfer is ranked second in the Mountain East Conference in assists, recording 7.64 per set. Oyola-Rivera has 252 on the season in 33 sets played. Against Seton Hill, Oyola-Rivera dished out 15 assists.
• As a team, the Pioneers are hitting .118 on the season while opponents are hitting .272. Point Park has recorded 342 kills on the season and are averaging 10.4 per set. Defensively, Point Park is averaging 14.2 digs per set while recording 43 blocks on the season.
