INSTITUTE, W.Va. – The Point Park volleyball team is heading on the road to Johnstown to face off with the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in a non-conference matchup scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Sports Center.

Storylines

• Point Park has started the season off 0-3 after falling to Walsh, Lake Erie, and Saginaw Valley State in the Hall of Fame City Classic in Ohio.
• On day one of the tournament, Walsh defeated Point Park by a 3-0 final (25-16, 25-12, 25-13) in the opening matchup. Against Walsh Avery Budrys Rini led the Pioneers with nine kills while Marianna Oyola-Rivera recorded 16 assists from her setter Position.
• In game two on Friday, Point Park dropped their second match of the day, this time to Lake Erie as the Storm got the 3-0 sweep. Budrys Rini finished with another nine kills while Nicole Reasbeck droving home eight kills. Oyola-Rivera recorded a team-high 25 assists.
• The Pioneers closed out the Hall of Fame City Classic with a 3-0 loss to Saginaw State in the early morning. Transfer Alex Koontz led the Pioneers with nine kills, 10 digs and two total blocks.
• Point Park and Pitt-Johnstown faced off last year with Mountain Cats getting the 3-0 sweep over the Pioneers. Since first meeting in 2025, Point Park holds a narrow 9-8 advantage in the series however, Pitt-Johnstown has won seven of the last eight meetings.
