YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Maxwell Eaton broke Point Park's school record in the 400m to headline the men's team performance at the YSU Collegiate Invitational on Friday afternoon and evening.
Eaton's new school record time of 49.50 was good enough for fifth place at today's event, which featured programs from Division I, Division II and Division III. Eaton also finished ninth in the 200m to turn in his second top 10 finish of the day.
Teammate
Christian Reid also finished seventh in the 400m with a time of 49.78. The time is the third-fastest in school history.
In the 800m,
Chase Bowen turned in the second-fastest time in school history with a time of 1:55.06. Additionally,
Elijah Bechdel turned in a time of 8:52.92 in the 3000m, the fourth-fastest time in school history.
Akeem Mustapha also had an impressive performance in the high jump, finishing fifth with a mark of 1.96m.
