PITTSBURGH -- Point Park women's lacrosse closes its homestand on Saturday when it welcomes Bethany to Highmark Stadium. Opening draw is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Point Park (2-2, 0-0 MEC) fell to Edinboro on Thursday 14-10. Reigning MEC Offensive Player of the Week Andrea Kinger scored three goals, bringing her total up to nine over the last two games. Kiley Leasure also notched a hat trick and has scored nine goals over the course of the homestand.

Emma Diaz added two goals and Alexandra Hrkach and Gracie Favela both scored on Thursday night. Hrkach and Favela also both added assists in the game against Edinboro.

Bethany (2-1, 0-0 PAC) picked up an overtime win last Saturday against La Roche, winning the 8-7 decision. The Bison are 1-1 on the road this season and have a -7 goal differential over their three games, having lost 20-10 to Muskingum.

STORYLINES

• Andrea Kinger was named MEC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. Kinger is tied for the MEC lead with her 4.33 goals per game. Kinger also ranks second in the conference with her 6.0 points per game. Kinger's 1.67 assists per game rank her fifth in the MEC. 

• Kiley Leasure is fourth in the MEC in goals per game at 3.67 and in points per game at 5.0. Leasure's 6.0 shots per game place her sixth in the conference.

• Tessa Hueber ranks seventh in the MEC in points per game, averaging 4.5 per contest. Hueber's 2.5 assists per game are second-best in the MEC.

• Isabella LaVenice ranks in the top 10 in the conference in goals against average (fifth - 9.22), saves per game (ninth - 3.0) and is 11th save percentage (.290). 

• Point Park is second in the MEC in goals per game (15.33), points per game (25.33) and shots per game (37.67). The Pioneers lead the conference with their 10.0 assists per game.
