PITTSBURGH -- Point Park women's lacrosse hosts Frostburg State on Friday in the team's final home game of its inaugural campaign. Opening draw is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Highmark Stadium.

The Pioneers (5-10, 2-6 MEC) enter on a two-game skid after falling to Charleston 25-4 on Wednesday evening. Andrea Kinger led the team in goals and points, scoring a hat trick and adding an assist in her 4-point game. Kinger's five shots and four shots on goal also led the team. Kiley Leasure scored and added two assists to end the contest with 3 points.

Frostburg State (12-3, 7-1 MEC) is a winner of two straight and boasts a 5-2 road record this season. The Bobcats have won eight of their last nine games, including a 32-1 win over WV Wesleyan and a 24-2 win over Point Park. Leasure and Emma Diaz scored Point Park's only goals in the previous meeting, with Alayna Zell recording PPU's lone assist.

STORYLINES

• Andrea Kinger was named MEC Offensive Player of the Week on Mar. 2 and Mar. 30. Kinger is second in the MEC with 5.18 points per game. Her 3.33 goals per game rank third across the MEC, and her 2.1 assists per game and 6.5 shots per game both rank fourth in the conference.

• Kiley Leasure is ninth in the MEC in goals per game (2.45) and eighth shots per game (5.18). 

• Tessa Hueber ranks 10th across MEC players in assists per game with 1.2. 

• Isabella LaVenice ranks in the top 10 in the conference in goals against average (ninth - 13.35) and saves per game (sixth - 4.4). Her save percentage is good for 11th at .321. 

• Goalkeeper Elena Sinar is eighth in goals against average (11.43) in the MEC.

• PPU is third in the conference in assists per game with 7.64. The Pioneers rank fourth in the MEC as a team in goals per game (12.85) and points per game (19.55) and are fifth in shots per game (29.91)

• Taylor Desko leads the MEC in ground balls per game at 4.55 per contest. Andrea Kinger sits in eighth position in the conference, averaging 2.64 per game. Desko is ninth in draw controls per game with her average of 3.09.

• Desko is fifth among all MEC players in caused turnovers per game, averaging 1.91. She's joined by Emerson Wackowski in the 10th spot at 1.5.
