PITTSBURGH – The Point Park men's and women's track & field teams will compete at two "Last Chance" competitions on Thursday and Friday, looking to post qualify times or marks for next week's ECAC/IC4A Championships in Fairfax, Virginia.
On Thursday, the Pioneers will send four student-athletes to the Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational to compete in the discus and javelin events. Four student-athletes will compete in the javelin (Ben Blahovec, Chevaughn Fletcher, David Attram, Nick Zaller), while Attram will pull double duty by competing in the discus.
On Friday, 21 student-athletes will travel to Berea, Ohio to compete in the Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet hosted by Baldwin Wallace College. A complete list of Point Park entries for Friday is included below.
The Pioneers are coming off a standout performance at last week's MEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which included a runner-up finish for the Pioneer men and a third-place finish for the women's team.
Four Pioneers standout also won individual conference championships, including Cassondra O'Connor in the 10,000m, Nick Zaller in the javelin, Kamar Sutherland in the 110m hurdles, and Akeem Mustapha in the long jump.
