PITTSBURGH- The Point Park men's soccer team will host West Virginia Wesleyan in their home opener at Highmark Stadium on Wednesday night. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Storylines

• The Pioneers come into the matchup 1-2 overall and 1-1 in conference following their 4-1 win over Wheeling on Sunday. In the matchup Ido Chalamish scored two goals to pace the Pioneers. The Pioneers put up 23 shots with 14 coming on goal.
• Last year the Pioneers fell 3-0 on Sept. 25 before falling 2-1 on Oct. 13 to West Virginia Wesleyan. The Pioneers went 3-10-1 last year in MEC play.
• The Pioneers are averaging 1.33 goals on game, with 17-38 being on goal. Point Park is averaging 12.7 shots per game with a 0.105 shot percentage.
• In goal, Gregorio Capponi has put in the work for the Pioneers starting in all three matchups. Capponi boasts a 1-2 record with 18 saves on the season. Capponi has a 0.750 save percentage on the season.
• Chalamish is ranked top 10  in multiple MEC categories. Chalamish is eighth in the conference in goals (2) and second points averaging 1.33 per game.
