Point Park to Take on Post in Non-Conference Play

PHILADELPHIA -- Point Park men's lacrosse wraps up non-conference play on Wednesday with a matchup against Post. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the University of Pennsylvania. 

The Pioneers (1-4, 1-2 GMAC) have dropped their last three games, including two straight conference defeats. Point Park fell to Walsh 19-13 last Tuesday. Five Pioneers scored goals last Tuesday, highlighted by Tigran Ceesay's five-goal game. Ceesay also recorded an assist to end the night with 6 points. Ceesay's goals and points are both the most Pioneer in a single game this season.

Post (3-3, 1-2 CACC) enters on a two-game losing skid, having fallen to Bridgeport and Wilmington last week. The Eagles posted a -7 goal differential over their two losses. Post is 2-1 away from home this season.

  • Grant Huber's 1.8 goals per game leads the team this season. Huber's 11 points (2.2 per game) is tied with Tigran Ceesay for the team lead. 

  • Tigran Ceesay and Parker Bowersox both have seven goals on the season, tying for second place. Ceesay is tied with Sawyer Leko with a team-leading four assists.

  • Parker Bowersox and Sawyer Leko are tied for the team lead in shots with 28. Bowersox also ranks 10th in the conference in faceoff percentage at 56.7%.

  • Goalkeeper Mario Lorenson ranks seventh in the GMAC with his 11.75 goals against average. Lorenson also ranks eighth in the conference in saves per game, averaging 11.0. His 7.75 ground balls per game are good for second in the conference.

  • Logan Foy is averaging 4.75 ground balls per game, good for eighth best in the GMAC.

  • Kaden Brown leads the GMAC in caused turnovers per game, sitting at 2.75. Xavier Layzell is tied for seventh in the conference at 1.67 per game.

  • Point Park leads the conference as a team in ground balls per game (43.5) and caused turnovers per game (12.75).
