PITTSBURGH- Point Park volleyball is back in action this Friday night as the Pioneers host Fairmont State in the Student Center Gym at 7:00 p.m. in Pittsburgh.

Storylines

• Point Park enters the matchup at 3-11 overall and 2-2 in conference play after falling to West Liberty 3-0 on Tuesday night. Fairmont State will come to Pittsburgh with a 13-6 overall record and a 1-2 MEC record after dropping their last two league games.
• In the match against West Liberty, Point Park hit .061 on the night with Avery Budrys Rini leading the offensive attack with nine kills. Alex Koontz and Nicole Reasbeck each chipped in with six kills. Marianna Oyola-Rivera dished out 24 assists to lead the Pioneers.
• Against Fairmont State last year, Point Park split the season series with Fairmont. The Falcons took the first matchup 3-1 in Fairmont on Oct. 11 before Point Park pulled out a big 3-2 win in Pittsburgh on Nov. 13.
• As a team Point Park is hitting .119 on the season registering 10.6 kills per set. Opponents are hitting .226 with 12.3 kills per set. The Pioneers are also dishing out 9.5 assists per set with 437 on the season while opponents have 11.3 per set and 519 on the season.
• At home this year the Pioneers are 0-2 dropping matchups to California (Pa.) and West Liberty.
